What to expect when worshiping with us

Guests and Friends,

For over 60 years, Sparlingville Baptist Church has been a lighthouse in this community, sharing Christ's love and message of hope to all. We're confident that you will find a place just for you at SBC! Here at SBC, so many people are finding hope and discovering God's purpose for their life in our uplifting weekly services. We invite you to join us!

How can I find Sparlingville Baptist?

Our church campus is located on Griswold Rd less than two miles south from Interstate 69 at exit 196, here in Kimball, MI. You'll turn south onto Wadhams Rd from the interstate, and then turn left at the light at Griswold. The church is on the left from there. You can find a detailed map and directions here. We are easy to find!

When are the services?

For Sunday School, all ages meet in the main auditorium at 10 AM for a brief song service, before being dismissed to their individual classes.

The Morning Worship Service begins at 11 AM in the main auditorium for adults and teens. During this time there is a Children's Church service that is prepared especially for their needs and level of understanding. Nurseries are also available for the younger ones during all services.

The Evening Worship Service begins at 6 PM, and is a highlight for many. It is a weekly appointment that you will not want to miss!

On Wednesday nights, our Weekly Bible Study and Prayer Meeting begins at 7 PM. It is always one of the most encouraging services of the week!

What do I do once I arrive?

Relax! We're here to serve you. If you've arrived in time for Sunday School at 10 AM, our friendly greeters will meet you at the door and help direct you to the appropriate class or service. If you plan to attend our main worship service an usher will help you find a comfortable seat. There are Sunday School classes available for all ages and clean, professional nurseries for infants and toddlers.

Where do I take my children?

Here at Sparlingville Baptist, we place a huge emphasis on young people. We have carefully planned and prepared to meet the needs of each one of your children. We offer Sunday school classes for every age group, special children's services, and clean professional nurseries for the infants and young toddlers. Once you arrive at our main entrance you will be met by one of our greeters and they will help to direct both you and your children or friends to an appropriate class or service.

What should I wear?

The truth of the matter is, there is no strict dress code for our public services! We want you to be comfortable and ready to concentrate on the message of God's Word.

What are our services like?

Although there are many things that are wrong in this world, we believe that our God is alive and well. He is a living Savior, and we worship Him with an attitude of victory and thankfulness! The congregation will join together in singing several hymns in an opening song service, and special music is always prepared by a variety of church members to enhance the services. These are also exciting songs that will encourage you and bring honor to Christ.

Prayer is a major part of the services here. We believe that God does everything in answer to prayer. We'll open the meeting in prayer, and many times will offer prayer for special requests of our church family during the service. If you have a specific prayer request, we'd love to share your burden.

God's Word is the answer to every problem we face. We believe that the Bible preaching is the most important part of every service. God's Word has the power to comfort, correct, instruct, and fix any situation. Our preacher, Pastor John Milton, has committed his life to practicing and promoting the Word of God. His messages are always straightforward and practical, where the Bible is taught and Christ is uplifted.

At the end of the preaching, Pastor Milton will ask everyone to stand and will give an invitation. This is a time for many to respond and make a life-changing decision by walking down the aisle and praying at the altar. A decision may be to trust Jesus Christ as personal Savior or to become a better Christian. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is open to you to join scores of others who are making decisions for Christ.

Be our guest this Sunday!
